Brandon’s Musings : From the Executive Director’s Desk

A Brighter Spring Update from the Airforwarders Association

As spring unfolds, I’m excited to share some news and upcoming events that will keep you informed and engaged!

Strength in the Face of Adversity:

First, our hearts go out to those impacted by the Baltimore Key Bridge ship collision. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families during this challenging time. In their wake, we are inspired by the unwavering dedication of supply chain workers and first responders who are diligently restoring operations at our 9th busiest port.

Advocating for You:

This past March, I was proud to represent your voice across key platforms at the Conference of New England Companies for Trade, the JFK Air Cargo Association’s Annual Expo, and the Los Angeles Air Cargo Association’s monthly luncheon. These engagements tackled critical industry topics and nurtured valuable connections for our members.

Engaging Opportunities in April:

Get ready for an action-packed April! I’m thrilled to once again serve as the Master of Ceremonies at the Cargo Network Services (CNS) Partnership Conference in Dallas. Additionally, I’ll be participating in an industry expert panel at the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association in Toronto and joining FIATA for its annual meeting in Geneva. These events are not to be missed – they offer insightful discussions and valuable networking opportunities.

Mark Your Calendars!

Don’t miss our virtual roundtable with The Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Associations on April 30th. This engaging session will delve into industry trends and challenges, offering valuable takeaways for all of us.

Exclusive Fireside Chat:

Save the date – May 13th! Join us for an exclusive fireside chat with Ben Currier, the new TSA Air Cargo Division Executive Director. This insightful conversation will give us a chance to learn about Mr. Currier’s agenda and its impact on our members. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting event!

Your Voice Matters:

Your active participation in our association’s committees and initiatives is vital. Together, we can address industry challenges and drive positive change. I encourage all members to get involved – your voice matters!

Thank you for being so supportive and I hope to see you on the road!

Warm regards,

Brandon Fried
